Gemstones
The stone you choose has a big impact on both the look and durability of your ring. For engagement rings and everyday wear, I generally recommend harder gemstones such as diamonds and sapphires, as they stand up well to daily life and are less likely to scratch over time.
Popular choices include white diamonds, Montana sapphires, teal sapphires, champagne diamonds, coloured lab diamonds and parti sapphires. During the design process, I'll help you choose a stone that suits both your style and lifestyle.
Custom Stones
If you're looking for something a little more unique, I can have stones custom cut specifically for your ring.
I work with a local BC stone cutter who can create a variety of custom shapes and cuts, including pear, oval, emerald, cushion and other specialty cuts. Whether you're dreaming of a Montana sapphire in a specific shade of teal, a custom-cut sapphire, or a unique diamond, I'll do my best to source the perfect stone for your design.
Because custom-sourced and custom-cut stones vary significantly in price, these options are generally best suited to projects with a larger stone budget. During the design process, I'll provide recommendations and pricing options so you can decide what works best for your vision and budget.
All rings are designed by me and made in British Columbia, with casting and stone cutting completed through trusted local partners in Vancouver and BC.
