I grew up in the UK, and as I got older, I LIVED for escapes to the mountains! Being surrounded by the mountains made everything else feel small and put into perspective - and it just felt like home.

When I was 16, my dad surprised me with a chunky white gold ski pendant. It was a symbol of my love for skiing and the mountains and it meant everything to me.

Later, I started working in advertising in London. I landed the dream job! But I was always at my desk, just dreaming of the mountains. One day, the mountain pull became too strong and I decided to go to Canada, just for a ski season, and I never left. I started making mountain-inspired jewellery just for fun, gifting pieces to friends. They would tell me those pieces reminded them of home and of their adventures in the mountains.

That’s when I realized I had to make this into something bigger - and Pretty Steep was born! My first official pieces were a small sterling silver ski and snowboard pendant, inspired by the gift from my dad. Since then, I have expanded into salt and pepper diamonds, aquamarine, charms, and all sorts of mountain-inspired designs.

But more than that, Pretty Steep is about courage, about saying yes to life, to adventure, and to doing more of what makes you feel alive.
